When we talk about hydronic heating, it means the presence of oxygen, micro-bubbles and impurities in the system. Elements that we must not neglect, disregard, omit, and overlook when you think of corrosion, blockages, noise and energy consumption that could happen if solutions are not established to correct these problems.

Air & Dirt Separator Calefactio

That’s why Calefactio has recently added new products to its Cal-X-Tract air & dirt separators line. In addition to the air separator, it now includes a dirt separator, but also an air & dirt separator with magnet. One product with many features that maintain the system’s optimal performance and efficiency. This type of solution also increases component life while reducing excessive maintenance.

Each product in Calefactio’s Cal-X-Tract line includes stainless-steel bristles coalescing media to catch the finest micro-bubbles, air and dirt particles without affecting the flow.

The coalescence process produced by the media allows air and micro-bubbles to fuse and then be evacuated through the Calvent automatic vent. As for the dirt, they will collide with each other, then fall to the bottom of the separator to be drained.

Models with a magnet facilitate the separation and accumulation of ferrous impurities thanks to their magnetic field. Some non-ferrous particles are also captured.
